Why?

Because these children are invisible in poverty.

l The Butterfield Bank Sea Swim (Seven Mile Beach; 20 May, 2006) organizers dedicated their annual race to Cayman Loves Children this year raising some $600. We applaud them for their compassion.

l Elementary students at Montessori By The Sea raised $34 dollars for Cayman Loves Children with a "dress-down day". Thank you students!

l World Gym, Grand Cayman, has pledged to donate $10 to Cayman Loves Children for each Bodybugg sale in 2006. The Bodybugg is an electronic device worn on the arm to monitor calorie burn rate and assist with weight loss.

What is Cayman Loves Children?

· Cayman Loves Children is a Cayman Islands organization created for the purpose of raising awareness about global poverty as it impacts children throughout the world.

· Cayman Loves Children seeks donations of any amount from individuals and businesses in the Cayman Islands. All donations raises are eventually forwarded to UNICEF. Any costs related to the functioning of this organization are paid by the founder.

· In addition to the direct benefit of helping to fund life-saving and life-enhancing projects around the world, our effort will also make an important statement about compassion. If the people of the Cayman Islands give generously then it will show that we care about children born into horrible conditions. How loud our statement is will be determined by the donations you and others give.

What do we do?
We continually think up new and relatively painless ways to transfer some of Cayman's pocket change over to some of those children who are slated to die every day around the world.

What do we not do?
We don't spend a lot of time in meetings voting on the color of our logo or discussing the grain of paper to be used for our letters. We don't spend any time patting ourselves on the back.

We understand what this about. No matter how little we accomplish, we have done something noble. No matter how much we accomplish, it will not be enough.

Why do we do it?
So we can sleep better at night.
